Presenters will explain how the Online Traffic Pilot Project is developing an online system for requesting and processing ability to pay determination in traffic infraction cases. The system includes an option for litigants to request a name check against a public benefits database to verify their income and qualify them for specific fine and fee adjustments. Presenters will include the participants in exercises to brainstorm other applications for this work including civil fee waivers.
