Sacha Steinberger is the Founder and Executive Director of Legal Link, an organization dedicated to removing legal barriers for people living in poverty in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sacha began working on what became Legal Link in 2014 with the support of Tipping Point Community. Prior to Legal Link, Sacha did worker's rights and civil rights litigation for seven years at Lewis, Feinberg, Lee, Renaker & Jackson, P.C. in Oakland, and clerked for Federal District Court Judge Martin J. Jenkins. During law school, she externed for Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Marsha S. Berzon, interned at many Bay Area legal non-profit organizations, and was the Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal. Prior to law school, Sacha spent four years doing community, labor, and electoral organizing, and uses her community organizing background to employ the law as a tool to help clients move out of poverty.
Sacha received her juris doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and her B.A. from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She is a member of the State Bar of California.
